St. Michaels wins tough contest against Lindsay, 4-2Lindsay Recreation Centre Fri, Oct 31, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between the St. Michaels Buzzers and the Lindsay Muskies was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end St. Michaels emerged with a 4-2 win. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Scott Teskey secured the win for the Buzzers with a goal in the third period. Teskey was all over the ice for St. Michaels, as he grabbed two goals in the win. The Buzzers' offense rang up 37 shots on Lindsay's net. St. Michaels also got a goal from Ashur Elliot as well. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Thomas Beretta, who had one and Luca Doctor, Joseph Berton, and Matt Pepler, who each chipped in two. The Muskies kept St. Michaels' goalie busy throughout the game, and George Argiropoulos made 35 saves on 37 shots. Lindsay was helped by Austin Eastman, who registered one goal. Eastman scored on the power play 9:35 into the third period to make the score 2-2. The Muskies earned a power play opportunity when Luke Branco was put in the box for tripping. Keegan Cairns picked up the assist. Joseph Vocino also scored for Lindsay. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Stuart Fierheller and Logan DeNoble, who contributed one each. The Buzzers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Brett Chandler rejected 33 shots on goal for Lindsay. The Muskies incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
