Toronto Patriots takes care of Milton early, wins 6-2

The Toronto Patriots Patriots opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 6-2 win over the Milton Icehawks.

Nicholas Geiser was all over the ice for Toronto Patriots, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Geiser scored 15:48 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Toronto Patriots. Nicholas Ursitti assisted on the tally.

The Patriots' penalty kill excelled, as Toronto Patriots gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

The Patriots forced Icehawks' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 32 shots and forcing 26 saves. Tyler Lewis made nine stops and Cosimo Lazzarino made 17. Toronto Patriots stifled Milton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Patriots outdid their season average for goals scored. Toronto Patriots additionally got points from Jacob Hayhurst, who also had one goal and one assist, Ursitti, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Quinn Syrydiuk, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Toronto Patriots also had goals scored by Chris Hill and Brett Markham, who scored one goal each. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Ryall Ledyard, Niko Kovachis, Nico Gonzalez, and Jeremy Pullara, who contributed one each.

The Icehawks forced the Patriots goalie Mathew Robson to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.
