Aurora rides Munroe to victory over Wellington, 4-1

The Aurora Tigers relied on the sparkling performance of Andy Munroe in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Wellington Dukes.

Aurora was led by Matthew Bernard, who finished with one goal. Bernard scored 6:25 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Aurora.

The Tigers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Aurora ended up below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. The Tigers forced Wellington goalie Taylor Welsh to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

Others who scored for Aurora included Daniel Mantenuto, Cameron Morrison, and Liam Neuman, who scored one goal each. More assists for Aurora came via Todd Winder, who had one and John Curran and Michael Laidley, who contributed two each.

The Dukes managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Wellington wound up below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game.
