Toronto Patriots downs Toronto Jr. Canadiens, 2-1

Nico Gonzalez had one point to lead the Toronto Patriots Patriots to a 2-1 victory over the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens.

Toronto Patriots also got a goal from Luke Carter as well. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via James Sterne, Brett Markham, Nicholas Geiser, and Marco Bozzo, who contributed one each.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens stifled Toronto Patriots' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Junior Canadiens' offense operated below their season average. Toronto Jr. Canadiens averages 3.3 goals per game.

The Junior Canadiens were led by Anthony Repaci, who scored the team's only goal. Repaci scored on the power play 4:15 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Toronto Jr. Canadiens had gained a power play chance when Matthew Cairns was whistled for holding. Kevin Hancock picked up the assist.

The Patriots' Emanuel Vella stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Toronto Patriots incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nathan Colitto rejected 27 shots on goal for the Junior Canadiens. Toronto Jr. Canadiens incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Junior Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cody Symonds was ejected from the game.
