Cobourg downs Lindsay, 5-2

The Cobourg Cougars won 5-2 over the Lindsay Muskies.

Cobourg's offense rang up 42 shots on Lindsay's net.

The Cougars were helped by Connor Armour, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Armour scored 11:14 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Cobourg. Cole Langan provided the assist. Others who scored for Cobourg included Connor Hogg, who had two and Josh Hopkin and Liam Grande, who each put in one. More assists for Cobourg came via Ryan OGrady, who had two and Mitchell Gibson, Riley Stillman, and Taylor Gauld, who each chipped in one.

The Muskies were helped by Mathew Lewis, who registered one goal. Lewis scored 8:06 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Cobourg. Michael Spataro picked up the assist. Lindsay additionally got points from Spataro, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Kristopher Diclemente, Stefan von Engelbrechten, and Connor Annett, who contributed one each.

Stefano Durante rejected 23 shots on goal for Cobourg. The Cougars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Boyd Diclemente made 37 saves for Lindsay on 42 shots. The Muskies incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
