Hladin's big game bests Milton in 6-3 Georgetown win

Behind a great game by Steve Hladin, who had two goals and two assists, the Georgetown Raiders defeated the Milton Icehawks, 6-3.

Hladin found the back of the net 9:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown and again while on the power play 11:54 into the second to make the score 3-3.

Georgetown's offense rang up 38 shots on Milton's net.

Georgetown additionally got points from David Perklin, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Georgetown included Carmine Alberga, Brendan Jacome, and Connor Andersen, who each put in one. More assists for Georgetown came via Josh Dickinson, who had one and Liam Clare and Anthony Marra, who contributed two each.

The Icehawks were helped by Alex Riche, who tallied two goals. Riche scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17:22 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Milton had taken the advantage when the Raiders' Perklin got sent off for cross checking. Johnathon Schaefer picked up the assist. Riche's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Milton with 16:04 left in the second period. The Icehawks had gotten the advantage when Georgetown's Gavin Shantz was sent off for cross checking. Schaefer provided the assist. Milton also got points from Mitch Graham, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Milton received assists from Jake Baird and Steven Goeree, who each chipped in one.

Marc Williams rejected 22 shots on goal for the Raiders. Georgetown incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Tyler Lewis recorded 32 saves for Milton. The Icehawks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
