Alexander Carlson gave the Hamilton Red Wings the lead in the first period, and the Pickering Panthers was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2.

Hamilton pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

The Red Wings were paced by Jeff Joynt, who finished with one goal. Joynt scored 12:11 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Hamilton. Otis Goldman provided the assist.

The Panthers were unable to stop Hamilton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Red Wings eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Pickering totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. For the Panthers, Riley Devine was ejected from the game.
