Foulem leads Shattuck St. Marys to shutout victory over St. Andrews College

Fredric Foulem recorded a shutout against the St. Andrews College Saints as Shattuck St. Marys picked up a 5-0 win.

Shattuck St. Marys was sparked by Colt Conrad, who finished with one goal. Conrad scored 8:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Shattuck St. Marys. Vincent de May picked up the assist.

Shattuck St. Marys excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Shattuck St. Marys forced St. Andrews College goalie Matthew Galajda to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Shattuck St. Marys also had goals scored by Jacob Paganelli, Ryan Norman, Grant Mismash, and Collin Saccoman, who scored one goal each. More assists for Shattuck St. Marys came via Gage Mackie, Scott Reedy, Joseph Pierce Crawford, and Joachim Weberg, who contributed one each.

The Saints put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Shattuck St. Marys to score on any of its three power plays. St. Andrews College could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Saints put an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. St. Andrews College's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Saints give up 1.6 goal per game.
