Galajda stymies Nichols School, St. Andrews College wins 4-1

The St. Andrews College Saints relied on the sparkling performance of Matthew Galajda in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Nichols School Vikings.

St. Andrews College was led by Reid Yochim, who tallied one goal and one assist. Yochim scored on the power play 28 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 St. Andrews College. JD Falconer picked up the assist.

The Saints' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Nichols School power plays. St. Andrews College kept Nichols School's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jerry Baerwitz made 37 saves on 41 shots.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Falconer, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Kyle Hunter and Alex MacDonald, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Justin Fregona, Darren Iwai, Mack Falconer, Quentin Campbell, and Austin Cho, who each chipped in one.

The Saints were unable to stop the Vikings from sending pucks towards the net, and Nichols School eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

The Vikings were led by Harrison Oates, who scored the team's only goal. Oates scored one second1 seconds into the third period to make the score 1-1.

St. Andrews College's Galajda stopped 31 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Saints incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nichols School incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
