St. Catharines downs Caledonia in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The St. Catharines Falcons' Tommy Barszcz scored 3:03 into overtime to beat the Caledonia Corvairs, 3-2 (OT).

St. Catharines evened the best of seven series at 3-3 and forced a deciding game seven.

The Falcons were sparked by Barszcz, who tallied one goal.

St. Catharines excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Falcons kept Caledonia's goalie busy throughout the game, and Colin Furlong made 53 saves on 56 shots.

St. Catharines additionally got points from Dillan Walker, who also racked up one goal and one assist. St. Catharines also got a goal from Ryan Doucette as well. More assists for St. Catharines came via Brennan Feasey, who had two and Broderick Kelly, Kyle Woodhouse, and Mark Rodgers, who contributed one each.

The Corvairs forced St. Catharines goalie Knick Dawe to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

Caledonia was helped by Mitch Green (AP), who had one goal. Green (AP) scored 19:04 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Caledonia. Scott Dorian assisted on the tally. Jordan Peacock also scored for Caledonia. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Ryan Blunt and Jeffrey Malott, who each chipped in one.

Dawe recorded 51 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Corvairs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
