Allen downs Quad City, 2-0

Bruce Graham had one point to lead the Allen Americans to a 2-0 victory over the Quad City Mallards.

With the win, Allen evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Americans excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Allen's offense rang up 31 shots on Quad City's net.

Allen also got a goal from Spencer Asuchak as well. Other players who recorded assists for Allen were Tyler Ludwig, Mike Berube, Brian McMillin, and Greger Hanson, who contributed one each.

The Mallards put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Americans to score on any of their three power plays.

Quad City was led by Gergo Nagy, who took four shots.

Bryan Pitton recorded 23 saves for Allen. The Americans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Thomas Heemskerk made 29 saves for the Mallards on 30 shots. Quad City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
