The Dundas Real McCoys and the South East Prairie Thunder were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Dundas made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Cam Watson at 3:17 of the third period. The Real McCoys were sparked by Watson, who finished with one goal. Dundas excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. South East was unable to stop the Real McCoys from sending pucks towards the net, and Dundas eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Others who scored for Dundas included Simon Mangos, Nick Smith, and Jordan Foreman, who each put in one. More assists for Dundas came via Blair Stayzer, who had one and Ryan Christie and Jason Ward, who contributed two each. The Prairie Thunder were helped by Shea Hamilton, who racked up one goal. Hamilton scored 10:59 into the second period to make the score 3-2 South East. South East also had goals scored by Ryan St Laurent and Brad Purdie, who scored one goal each. Mike Mole recorded 26 saves for the Real McCoys. Dundas incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Real McCoys ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jay McKee was ejected from the game. Steve Christie made 32 saves for South East on 36 shots. The Prairie Thunder incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
