Carleton Place completes comeback, beats Smiths Falls, 3-2

The Carleton Place Canadians climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Smiths Falls Bears, 3-2.
Carleton Place never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Canadians was down 2-0 after a goal by Smiths Falls' Michael Buonincontri at 16:09 in the first period. Carleton Place knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Craig Pefley at 6:55 in the second period. The Canadians got the game winner at 16:28 in the third period on a goal by Pefley.
After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, the Bears face elimination next time out.
Carleton Place was sparked by Evan Peterson, who had one goal.
The Canadians' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Smiths Falls power plays.
Carleton Place also got points from Stephen Baylis, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Carleton Place came via Owen Stewart, Andy Sturtz, and Luke Edwards, who each chipped in one.
