Pu leads Team GTHL Blue over Team HEO, 7-3

Behind a great game by Cliff Pu, who had one goal and two assists, Team GTHL Blue defeated Team HEO, 7-3.

Pu got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 4:45 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Team GTHL Blue. Team GTHL Blue had gained a power play chance when Owen Grant was whistled for hooking. Francesco Luca picked up the assist. Pu dished an assist on Kyle Maksimovich's goal that made the score 2-1 Team GTHL Blue at 13:30 into the first period. He added another helper on Taylor Raddysh's goal that made the score 7-3 Team GTHL Blue at 16:10 into the third period.

Team GTHL Blue pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

Team GTHL Blue's offense rang up 35 shots on Team HEO's net.

Team GTHL Blue also got points from Raddysh, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Team GTHL Blue also had goals scored by Jason Pineo, who had two and Michael McLeod and Matthew Danner, who scored one goal each. In addition, Team GTHL Blue received assists from Matthew Cairns, who had two and Reagan OGrady, Michael Pezzetta, Nicolas Sicoly, and Joseph Mizzi, who contributed one each.

Team HEO was led by William Bitten, who finished with one goal and one assist. Bitten scored short handed 10:40 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Team HEO was on a disadvantage when Ugo Roik went off the ice for kneeing. Others who scored for Team HEO included Keenan Reynolds and Jacob Collins, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Team HEO were Cole Carter, who had one.

Kasimir Krol made 22 saves for Team GTHL Blue on 25 shots. Team GTHL Blue registered three goals on six power play opportunities. Peter Brooks recorded 28 saves for Team HEO. Team HEO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
