CAMBRIDGE beats BURLINGTON 3-2 after comeback scare

BURLINGTON tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but CAMBRIDGE would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

A goal by Brooklyn Davis put CAMBRIDGE up 3-0 in the second period, but BURLINGTON pulled to within one on Rachel Armstrong's tally 6:16 into the third period.

CAMBRIDGE was helped by Rebecca Haddaway, who had one goal. Haddaway scored 9:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 CAMBRIDGE. Shannon Pearson provided the assist. Laine Padovan also scored for CAMBRIDGE. Other players who recorded assists for CAMBRIDGE were Miranda Lantz, who had two and Hannah Askin (A), Aylssa Chiarello, and Julia Schnurr, who contributed one each.

BURLINGTON also got a goal from Darcy Henderson as well. More assists for BURLINGTON came via Kate Randazzo, Jessie Rietveld, Jessica Cutting, and Taylor Reichheld, who each chipped in one.

Lauren Webber made 24 saves for CAMBRIDGE on 26 shots. CAMBRIDGE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kyra OBrien rejected 27 shots on goal for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
