Hince leads Knoxville to shutout victory over Louisiana

Bryan Hince recorded a shutout against the Louisiana IceGators as the Knoxville Ice Bears picked up a 3-0 win.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Louisiana faces elimination next time out.

Knoxville was paced by Berkley Scott, who grabbed one goal. Scott scored 8:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Knoxville. David Segal provided the assist.

The Ice Bears' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Louisiana power plays. Knoxville relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Scott, Francis Drolet and Eric Satim took 11 of the team's 20 shots.

Knoxville additionally got points from Peter Neal, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Knoxville also got a goal from Vince Perreault as well. Other players who recorded assists for Knoxville were Andrew Dovey, who had one.

The IceGators were led by Clark Byczynski, who took four shots.

Bryan Hince made 28 saves for the Ice Bears on 28 shots. Knoxville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Kiefer Smiley recorded 17 saves for Louisiana.
