The Smiths Falls Bears relied on the scoring touch of Chris King, who netted two goals, to beat the Ottawa Senators, 4-1. King scored at 14:44 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Smiths Falls and again while 5:40 into the third to make the score 3-1 Smiths Falls.The win by Smiths Falls clinched the best of seven series at 4-3. Ottawa was stymied by the Bears' netminder Michael Pinios, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. Pinios managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.78 prior to the game. Smiths Falls also had goals scored by Derian Plouffe and Michael Buonincontri, who each put in one. More assists for Smiths Falls came via Karson McCartney, who had two and Brandon Lesway, Neil Doef, Zachary Senyshyn, and Stefano Momesso, who contributed one each. The Senators' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Smiths Falls power plays. Ottawa was led by Matthew Dupont, who scored the team's only goal. Dupont scored on the power play 6:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Smiths Falls. The Senators had gained a power play chance when Chris MacMillan was whistled for high sticking.
