Prpic's goals lift Brantford to 7-4 victory over Dundas

Joel Prpic was all over the ice for the Brantford Blast, as he tallied two goals in Brantford's 7-4 win over the Dundas Real McCoys.

Prpic scored at 1:30 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dundas and again while 11:07 into the second to make the score 4-2 Brantford.

The win by the Blast clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

Brantford's power play unit failed to produce, and was held to zero goals on 11 chances.

Brantford additionally got points from Mike Ruberto, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Brantford included Kyle Spurr, Chris Rebernik, and Greg Bullock, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Brantford were Jon Jankus, who had three, Dave Russell, Cam Sault, Mark Taylor, Jamie Williams, Mike Burgoyne, and Chris Leveille, who contributed one each, and Brandon Dietrich and Chad Spurr, who each chipped in two.

Dundas stifled the Blast's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Real McCoys were helped by Adam Deleeuw, who had one goal. Deleeuw scored 7:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dundas. Blair Stayzer assisted on the tally. Dundas also had goals scored by Scott Mifsud, Randy Rowe, and Jerry Galway, who scored one goal each. In addition, Dundas received assists from Jordan Foreman, Cam Watson, Darryl Smith, and Matthew Smith, who contributed one each.

Brett Leggat recorded 15 saves for Brantford. The Blast incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Mike Mole made 20 saves for Dundas on 27 shots. The Real McCoys incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors.
