Cobourg boosted by Perry's play in net, beats Aurora 3-1

Nathan Perry stood on his head and made 43 saves to lead the Cobourg Cougars to a 3-1 victory over the Aurora Tigers.

With the win, Cobourg evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Cougars were paced by Alex D Oliveira, who registered one goal and one assist. D Oliveira scored 16:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cobourg. Jake Emilio picked up the assist.

Cobourg's offense rang up 33 shots on Aurora's net.

Cobourg also had goals scored by Theo Lewis and Liam Grande, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cobourg came via Connor Armour, who had three.

The Tigers' offense rang up 44 shots on the Cougars' net.

Aurora was led by Curtis Warren, who scored the team's only goal. Warren scored 1:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. Calvin Higley assisted on the tally.

Cobourg incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. For the Cougars, Nick Neal was ejected from the game. Kevin Entmaa made 30 saves for the Tigers on 32 shots. Aurora incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
