The Trenton Golden Hawks and the Kingston Voyageurs were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Trenton made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. The Golden Hawks gained the winning advantage on a goal by Ryan Kinsella 2:05 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. With the win, Trenton evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. The Golden Hawks pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 24 penalty minutes. Trenton was sparked by Kinsella, who grabbed one goal. Kingston was unable to stop the Golden Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Trenton eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Others who scored for Trenton included Tyler Mayea and Nick Santoro, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Fabrizio Ricci, Dylan Savory, Bobby Polachek, Chrisitian Lloyd, Nick Boddy, and Zach de Concilys, who contributed one each. The Voyageurs had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. Kingston was helped by Spencer Green, who had one goal. Green scored 6:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Brandon OQuinn picked up the assist. Brett Seney also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via Michael Crocock, Adam Brady, and Michael Casale, who each chipped in one. Denny Dubblestyne recorded 24 saves for the Golden Hawks. Trenton registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. The Golden Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Seldon was ejected from the game. The Voyageurs' Sam Tanguay stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Kingston incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Voyageurs, Blake ONeill was ejected from the game.
