The North York Rangers pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots on a clutch goal by Patrick Piacentini. After the loss made the series score 1-3 in the best of seven series, Toronto Lakeshore faces elimination next time out. North York came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rangers trailed 3-1 after a power play goal by the Patriots' Nathan Feric at 12:28 in the second period. North York knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Liam Kerins at 16:18 in the third period. The Rangers were paced by Piacentini, who grabbed one goal. Piacentini scored on the power play 3:09 into overtime to make the score 4-3 North York. North York had gained a power play chance when Robert Powers was whistled for high sticking. Toronto Lakeshore was unable to stop the Rangers from sending pucks towards the net, and North York eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. North York also had goals scored by Adam Valadao and Ted Hunt, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for North York were Zachary Fung, Corey Kalk, Brandon Gaudette, Tye Campbell, Matthew Whittaker, and John Carpino, who each chipped in one. Jason Pucciarelli made 27 saves for the Rangers on 30 shots. North York incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Evan Buitenhuis recorded 27 saves for the Patriots. Toronto Lakeshore incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
