Evan Greer had two goals and one assist to lead the Picton Pirates to a 6-3 victory over the Amherstview Jets. Greer found the back of the net on the power play 6:12 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 18:27 into the third to make the score 6-3 Picton.After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Amherstview faces elimination next time out. Picton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Pirates' offense rang up 43 shots on the Jets' net. Picton also got points from Jack Davison, who also registered one goal and one assist. Picton also had goals scored by Steven Clarke, Kenny Murduff, and Ryan Sizer, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were Chris Jones, who had two, Brian Bunnett, who had three, and Nolan Powers, Braeden Walsh, and Brandon Peever, who each chipped in one. Amherstview kept Picton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Adam Wood made 38 saves on 41 shots. The Jets were helped by Jordan Howe, who had one goal. Howe scored 1:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amherstview. Brody Taylor picked up the assist. Others who scored for Amherstview included Zach Masterson and Adam Shulist, who each put in one. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Josh Leblanc, who had one and Cody Stapley, who had two. The Pirates incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. James DAndrea rejected 37 shots on goal for Amherstview. The Jets ended with 29 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. Team's Brett Yake and Cassidy Bruni were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
