Almonte Thunder climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat Renfrew Timberwolves, 6-4. Almonte Thunder let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a three hole to pick up the win. Almonte Thunder took a 1-0 advantage on a power play goal by Luke Martin at 7:38 in the first period. Almonte Thunder found itself down 4-1 after Renfrew Timberwolves' Colin Bradbury put the puck home on the power play at 17:51 in the second period. After knotting things up at 4-4 on a goal by Jordan Bosely at 12:03 in the third, Almonte Thunder got the game-winner from Martin at 12:03 in the third period. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Renfrew Timberwolves faces elimination next time out. Almonte Thunder kept Renfrew Timberwolves' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Schroeder made 31 saves on 37 shots. Almonte Thunder also got points from Andrew Rowbotham, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Ben Wade, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Almonte Thunder came via Tyler McKechnie, Liam Killeen, and Nick Villeneuve, who contributed one each. Renfrew Timberwolves was led by Scott Conroy, who had two goals. Conroy scored the first of his two goals at 9:53 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Conroy's next tally made the score 2-1 Renfrew Timberwolves with 9:45 left in the first period. Bradbury picked up the assist. Renfrew Timberwolves additionally got points from Bradbury, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Renfrew Timberwolves also got a goal from Luke Lapierre as well. In addition, Renfrew Timberwolves received assists from Nolan Rook, Teddy Suckow, Issac Anderson, and Cole Allard, who each chipped in one.
