Matthew Paonessa had two goals and two assists to lead the Grimsby Peach Kings to a 6-2 victory over the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats.

Paonessa's tallies came at 10:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Grimsby and on the power play 18:08 into the second to make the score 5-0 Grimsby.

The win by Grimsby clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Peach Kings were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to two goals off of 10 man advantages.

Grimsby additionally got points from Colin Wierts, who also registered two goals and one assist and Brennan Smith, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Grimsby also got a goal from Damien Alfieri as well. More assists for Grimsby came via Aiden Board, Aidan McCreadie, Nicholas Briggs, Nicholas Purves, Andrew Kolodzey, and Jordan McCarl, who contributed one each.

Josh Astorino made 24 saves for Grimsby on 26 shots. The Peach Kings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Josh Rosettani recorded 21 saves for Dunnville. The Jr. Mudcats totaled 55 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Team's Bret Golding and Mack Steele were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
