DURHAM WEST tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but OAKVILLE would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

OAKVILLE made the score 4-1 on a goal by Jazz Kennedy at 2:08 in the second period, and DURHAM WEST got as close as 4-2 when Kennedy Marchment (C) scored 7:23 into the third period.

After the loss made the series score 1-2 in the best of five series, DURHAM WEST faces elimination next time out.

OAKVILLE was paced by Kirsten Miller, who registered one goal. Miller scored 12:09 into the first period to make the score 3-1 OAKVILLE. Laura Magliocchi provided the assist.

OAKVILLE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four DURHAM WEST power plays.

OAKVILLE also got points from Olivia Atkinson (A), who also tallied one goal and one assist and Kennedy, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cassidy MacPherson also scored for OAKVILLE. In addition, OAKVILLE received assists from Christina Putigna, Lauren Carroll (A), and Mackenzie Stamper (PU), who contributed one a piece.

DURHAM WEST was helped by Katrina Manoukarakis, who had one goal. Manoukarakis scored 2:51 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Marchment (C) picked up the assist. Stephanie Loukes rejected 14 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Stephanie Sluys took the loss and made six saves before being replaced by Melissa Black who made 10 saves. DURHAM WEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
