Halladay's big game bests LEASIDE in 4-1 NEPEAN win

NEPEAN's Addi Halladay had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in her team's 4-1 win over LEASIDE.

Halladay got on the board by slotting home a goal 19:48 into the third period to make the score 4-2 NEPEAN. Sam Cogan provided the assist. Halladay dished an assist on Cogan's goal that made the score 1-1 at 3:13 into the second period. He added another helper on Katryne Villeneuve's goal that made the score 3-2 NEPEAN at 7:56 into the third period.

The win gave NEPEAN a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

NEPEAN's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three LEASIDE power plays.

NEPEAN additionally got points from Cogan, who also racked up one goal and two assists. NEPEAN also got a goal from Alyssa Baker as well. Other players who recorded assists for NEPEAN were Dallis Ferguson, Jenna MacDonald, and Alison MacKenzie, who each chipped in one.

LEASIDE found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 10 shots against NEPEAN's defense.

LEASIDE was led by Anthea Lasis (C), who scored the team's only goal. Lasis (C) scored 7:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LEASIDE. Rachel Dowdall assisted on the tally.

Kira Bombay rejected nine shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Karly Stratos recorded 20 saves for LEASIDE. LEASIDE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
