Behind a great game by Cassidy Vinkle, who had two goals, WHITBY defeated BARRIE, 7-1.

Vinkle scored at 6:40 into the second period to make the score 2-1 WHITBY and again while 11:27 into the second to make the score 4-1 WHITBY.

The win by WHITBY clinched the best of five series at 3-0.

WHITBY forced BARRIE goalie Alexx Ridding to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

WHITBY also got points from Katelyn Rae, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Emily Volpe, who also had one goal and one assist, and Rhyen McGill, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Alana Sims also scored for WHITBY. More assists for WHITBY came via Madison Badeau, who had three and Kirsten Welsh, Megan Sullivan (A), CJ Tipping, Jaime Fox, Jaime Grigsby, and Meagan Picco, who contributed one a piece.

BARRIE found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against WHITBY's defense.

BARRIE was led by Kara Washer, who scored the team's only goal. Washer scored 3:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 BARRIE. Justine Treadwell (C) assisted on the tally.

Kassidy Sauve rejected 12 shots on goal for WHITBY. WHITBY incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ridding recorded 37 saves for BARRIE. BARRIE incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
