Chiarello's big game bests BRAMPTON in 4-1 WATERLOO win

WATERLOO's Amanda Chiarello had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in her team's 4-1 win over BRAMPTON.

Chiarello beat Katie Bidulka with a shot 14:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 WATERLOO. Kaitlyn Hanson picked up the assist. Chiarello dished an assist on Hannah Davidson (A)'s goal that made the score 2-1 WATERLOO at 10:36 into the second period. He then added assists on Karley Charette's goal at 1:01 into the third and on Laura Irwin's goal at 15:41 into the third.

WATERLOO evened the best of five series at 2-2 and forced a deciding game five.

WATERLOO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three BRAMPTON power plays. WATERLOO's offense rang up 33 shots on BRAMPTON's net.

WATERLOO also got points from Irwin, who also had one goal and one assist and Davidson (A), who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Amber Sealey (C) and Kaelyn Toews, who each chipped in one.

BRAMPTON was led by Christina Ieradi (A), who scored the team's only goal. Ieradi (A) scored 6:46 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Chelsea Ball provided the assist.

Shea Tiley rejected 22 shots on goal for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. BRAMPTON's Bidulka stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that she faced. BRAMPTON incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
