The St. Michaels Buzzers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the North York Rangers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. A goal by Adam Valadao put North York up 3-1 in the second period, but St. Michaels pulled to within one on Joseph Berton's tally 2:27 into the third period. The win gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. North York was paced by Valadao, who finished with one goal. Valadao scored 12:38 into the second period to make the score North York. Tye Campbell picked up the assist. Others who scored for North York included Liam Kerins and Brandon Gaudette, who scored one goal each. In addition, North York received assists from Ted Hunt, Zachary Fung, Corey Kalk, Matthew Whittaker, and John Carpino, who contributed one each. The Buzzers were helped by CJ Shugart, who had one goal. Shugart scored on the power play 12:40 into the first period to make the score 1-1. St. Michaels had gotten the advantage when the Rangers' Gabriel Valenzuela was sent off for hooking. Jordan Schneider provided the assist. More assists for St. Michaels came via Thomas Beretta, Matt Alvaro, and Jake Evans, who each chipped in one. Jason Pucciarelli made 25 saves for North York on 27 shots. The Rangers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. George Argiropoulos rejected 26 shots on goal for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
