Milton falls to Georgetown in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Steve Midensky gave the Georgetown Raiders a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Milton Icehawks when he scored 6:20 into the extra period.

The win gave Georgetown a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Raiders were led by Midensky, who registered one goal.

Milton was unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Georgetown also got a goal from Liam Board as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Anthony Marra, who had two.

The Icehawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Georgetown to score on any of its five power plays.

Milton was led by Shane Bennett, who scored the team's only goal. Bennett scored on the power play 13:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Milton. The Icehawks had gotten the advantage when the Raiders' Andrew Court was sent off for goalie interference. Kane Elliot assisted on the tally.

Michael McNiven rejected 24 shots on goal for Georgetown. The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ben Blacker recorded 45 saves for Milton. The Icehawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
