BRAMPTON rides Bidulka to victory over TORONTO, 3-1Sixteen Mile Sports Complex Fri, Apr 04, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
BRAMPTON relied on the sparkling performance of Katie Bidulka in net to grab a 3-1 win against TORONTO. The win gave BRAMPTON a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. BRAMPTON was led by Christina Ieradi (A), who tallied one goal. Ieradi (A) scored 8:31 into the second period to make the score 2-1 BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three TORONTO power plays. BRAMPTON also had goals scored by Alessia Pasquariello (A) and Meagan OBrien, who each put in one. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Lindsey Smith and Jillian Battista, who contributed one each. TORONTO's offense rang up 39 shots on BRAMPTON's net. TORONTO did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. TORONTO was led by Breanne Wilson-Bennett (C-home), who scored the team's only goal. Wilson-Bennett (C-home) scored 7:01 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Claire Thompson (PU) picked up the assist. Bidulka recorded 38 saves for BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Sarah Stephens made 21 saves for TORONTO on 24 shots.
