TORONTO falls to MISSISSAUGA in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

MISSISSAUGA's Kelly Mariani scored 1:40 into overtime to beat TORONTO, 4-3 (OT).

The win gave MISSISSAUGA a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

MISSISSAUGA got the win behind a great game by Victoria Bach, who had one goal and three assists. Bach scored 4:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 MISSISSAUGA. Kaitlin Lowy picked up the assist.

MISSISSAUGA also got points from Lowy, who also had one goal and one assist. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Nadine Edney as well. More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Lindsay Agnew, who had one.

TORONTO kept MISSISSAUGA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alysia DaSilva made 30 saves on 33 shots.

TORONTO was helped by Taytum Clairmont, who racked up one goal. Clairmont scored 7:53 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jessica Gazzola (A) provided the assist. Others who scored for TORONTO included Daryl Watts (PU) and Breanne Wilson-Bennett (C-home), who scored one goal each. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Jessie Eldridge, Sarah Knee, and Cora Constantinou, who contributed one each.

MISSISSAUGA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ally Sarna recorded 17 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
