Dallis Ferguson finished with one point to lead NEPEAN to a 2-0 victory over DURHAM WEST. The win gave NEPEAN a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow DURHAM WEST to score on any of its four power plays. NEPEAN forced DURHAM WEST goalie Stephanie Sluys to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Katryne Villeneuve also scored for NEPEAN. More assists for NEPEAN came via Blake Orosz, Jenna MacDonald, Sam Cogan, and Lindsay Eastwood(C), who each chipped in one. Kira Bombay rejected 17 shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sluys recorded 29 saves for DURHAM WEST. DURHAM WEST incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
