Shawville Pontiacs downs Renfrew Timberwolves in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Shawville Pontiacs' Julian Dumont scored 12:37 into overtime to beat Renfrew Timberwolves, 4-3 (OT).

With the win, Shawville Pontiacs evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

Dumont had a great game for Shawville Pontiacs, netting two goals.

Shawville Pontiacs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Renfrew Timberwolves power plays. Renfrew Timberwolves was unable to stop Shawville Pontiacs from sending pucks towards the net, and Shawville Pontiacs eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Shawville Pontiacs also got points from Dylan Scott, who also registered one goal and one assist. Danick Genest also scored for Shawville Pontiacs. In addition, Shawville Pontiacs received assists from Alexandre Larocque, who had three and Anthony Rea and Liam Poirier, who each chipped in one.

Renfrew Timberwolves forced Shawville Pontiacs goalie Joshua Horner to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Renfrew Timberwolves was led by Tyler MacDonald, who finished with one goal and one assist. MacDonald scored 7:20 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Others who scored for Renfrew Timberwolves included Tanner Smith and Bailey Hein, who scored one goal each. More assists for Renfrew Timberwolves came via Nolan Rook and Scott Conroy, who contributed one a piece.

Joshua Horner made 48 saves for Shawville Pontiacs on 51 shots. Shawville Pontiacs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matt Gagne rejected 37 shots on goal for Renfrew Timberwolves. Renfrew Timberwolves incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For Renfrew Timberwolves, Kurtis Leclaire was ejected from the game.
