The Hagersville Hawks' Derek Medeiros scored 49 seconds into overtime to beat the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats, 3-2 (OT). Hagersville evened the best of seven series at 3-3 and forced a deciding game seven. Medeiros had two goals to lead the Hawks to victory. Hagersville forced Dunnville goalie Josh Rosettani to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Hawks' power play was punchless, and failed to score a single goal despite having nine power play opportunities. Hagersville also got a goal from Zach Maciel as well. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Travis Bell, Kyle Phibbs, Derek Friesen, and Chris Martin, who each chipped in one. The Jr. Mudcats stifled Hagersville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hawks were unable to stop Dunnville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jr. Mudcats eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Dunnville was helped by Davis Hart, who had one goal. Hart scored on the power play 10:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dunnville. The Jr. Mudcats had taken the advantage when Hagersville's Austin Dezeeuw got sent off for slashing. Dan Arrowsmith assisted on the tally. Austin Golding also scored for Dunnville. Other players who recorded assists for Dunnville were Jeff May, who had one and Landon Minor, who had two. Ian Sylves recorded 31 saves for the Hawks. Hagersville incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Josh Rosettani made 34 saves for Dunnville on 37 shots. The Jr. Mudcats incurred 54 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors.
