Nick Ferguson gave the Campbellford Rebels a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Picton Pirates when he scored 5:56 into the extra period. After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, Picton faces elimination next time out. The Pirates were stymied by Campbellford netminder Cole Mahoney, who stopped 52 shots during the victory. Mahoney managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.89 prior to the game. The Rebels were led by Ferguson, who registered one goal. Campbellford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Picton to score on any of its four power plays. The Rebels kept the Pirates' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Pearson made 45 saves on 47 shots. Jon Samis also scored for Campbellford. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Ryan Crowley and Jeremiah Doherty, who each chipped in one. Picton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Pirates forced Campbellford goalie Mahoney to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots. Picton was led by Kenny Murduff, who scored the team's only goal. Murduff scored 16:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Picton. Brandon Peever picked up the assist. The Rebels incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Pirates incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
