Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Paris Mounties battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over the Norwich Merchants. Paris never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Mounties fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Norwich's Drake Morrell at 11:19 in the second period. Paris knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Brodie Smith at 13:49 in the third period. The Mounties got the game winner at 14:33 in the third period on a goal by Smith. The win by Paris clinched the best of seven series at 4-0. The Mounties were paced by Jacob Norcott, who tallied one goal. Paris excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Paris additionally got points from Clayton Chalmers, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Paris received assists from Brian Mueller, Richard Brooks, Merrit Crumback, and Ian Fowler, who each chipped in one. The Merchants' offense rang up 33 shots on the Mounties' net. Norwich also got points from Derek Slaght, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Norwich were Jesse Szabo and Troy Lamoure, who contributed one a piece. Paris' Zach Shomphe stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Mounties incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Zac Easveld recorded 22 saves for Norwich. The Merchants incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
