The Clarington Eagles tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the Uxbridge Bruins held on for a 6-5 victory. Uxbridge made the score 5-1 on a goal by Connor Miller at 14:31 in the second period, and Clarington got as close as 5-4 when Jake Carter scored 15:05 into the third period. The win by the Bruins clinched the best of seven series at 4-3. Uxbridge got the win with help from a great game by Matt Allen, who had two goals and two assists. Allen scored the first of his two goals at 1:14 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. Miller assisted on the tally. Allen's next tally made the score 3-1 Uxbridge with 7:47 left in the second period. The Bruins earned a power play opportunity when CJ Sharp was put in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct. Carter Vahey provided the assist. Uxbridge forced Eagles' goalies to work without much rest, getting 34 shots and forcing 28 saves. Connor Visca made 11 stops and Sharp made 17. Uxbridge also got points from Miller, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Marco Mastrangelo, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Uxbridge included Connor Beck and Jarett Smith, who scored one goal each. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Korey Brand, who had two and Tim Bierema and Matt Trudel, who each chipped in one. The Eagles forced the Bruins goalie Max Tjin to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Clarington had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on nine chances. The Eagles were led by Brad Down, who registered one goal and one assist. Down scored on the power play 12:00 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Uxbridge. Clarington had taken the advantage when Uxbridge's Bierema got sent off for interference. Jarod Hollister assisted on the tally. Clarington also had goals scored by Austin Collins, Cody Kean, and Riley OConnell, who each put in one. More assists for Clarington came via Rory Craddock, who had two and Jake Choiniere and Brent Hambly, who contributed one a piece. Tjin rejected 42 shots on goal for the Bruins. Uxbridge incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Eagles incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
