The Uxbridge Bruins pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Clarington Eagles on a clutch goal by Tim Bierema.

After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, Clarington faces elimination next time out.

Uxbridge was led by goalie Max Tjin, who finished with 36 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Tjin will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.82.

The Bruins were paced by Bierema, who tallied one goal. Bierema scored 9:48 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. Korey Brand assisted on the tally.

Uxbridge stifled the Eagles' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bruins kept Clarington's goalie busy throughout the game, and CJ Sharp made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Uxbridge also got a goal from Matt Allen as well. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Marco Mastrangelo, who had one.

The Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Clarington forced Uxbridge goalie Tjin to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

The Eagles were led by Blane Gaudon, who scored the team's only goal. Gaudon scored 17:24 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Chris Turner picked up the assist.

The Bruins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Clarington incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
