The Uxbridge Bruins tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Clarington Eagles would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. A goal by Dylan Howorko put Clarington up 3-0 in the second period, but Uxbridge pulled to within one on Matt Allen's tally 14:56 into the third period. With the win, the Eagles evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. The Bruins' power play was ineffective against Clarington's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Uxbridge to score on any of its six power plays. The Bruins were unable to stop Clarington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Eagles eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Clarington was helped by Jarod Hollister, who racked up one goal. Hollister scored on the power play 2:32 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Clarington. The Eagles had gotten the advantage when Uxbridge's Connor Miller was sent off for slashing. Brad Down assisted on the tally. Clarington also got a goal from Mitchell Marchbank as well. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Chris Turner, Jake Choiniere, and Thomas Garrity, who each chipped in one. The Bruins forced Clarington goalie Connor Visca to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Liam Blais also scored for Uxbridge. More assists for Uxbridge came via Adam Bartholomew, Jeff Wilson APM, Matt Pollard, and Jeremy Toupin, who contributed one a piece. Visca recorded 32 saves for the Eagles. Clarington incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Uxbridge's Cody Northover stopped 40 shots out of the 43 that he faced. The Bruins incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Team's Marco Mastrangelo and Tyson Eastgate were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
