Behind a great game by Cody Britton, who had two goals and two assists, the Kincardine Bulldogs defeated the Walkerton Hawks, 7-4. Britton scored at 14:15 into the third period to make the score 6-3 Kincardine and again while 19:21 into the third to make the score 7-4 Kincardine.After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, Walkerton faces elimination next time out. Kincardine put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Hawks to score on any of their three power plays. Kincardine also got a goal from Dalton Hnatko as well. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Gerritt Satosek, who had two and Carter Strachan, Matt Baker, Brett Catto, Collin Whitfield, and Sam Feagan, who each chipped in one. Walkerton's offense rang up 40 shots on the Bulldogs' net. The Hawks were helped by Dave Mercer, who finished with one goal. Mercer scored 13:38 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kincardine. Walkerton also got points from Lauchlin Elder, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Walkerton also had goals scored by Tyler Snyder and Drew Davidson, who each put in one. More assists for Walkerton came via Jordan Turcotte and Austin Russell, who contributed one a piece. Mitch Campbell recorded 36 saves for Kincardine. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Walkerton's Trevor Fleming stopped 22 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Hawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
