The Mitchell Hawks tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Kincardine Bulldogs held on for a 2-1 victory. Kincardine took a 2-0 lead during the second period, only to have Mitchell storm back on a Matt Van DeWalle goal 4:52 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The win by the Bulldogs clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. Kincardine was sparked by Brett Catto, who tallied one goal. Catto scored on the power play 15:38 into the second period to make the score Kincardine. The Bulldogs earned a power play opportunity when Tyler Tolton was put in the box for slashing. Jamie Miller provided the assist. Kincardine put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Hawks to score on any of their three power plays. The Bulldogs' offense rang up 46 shots on Mitchell's net. Gerritt Satosek also scored for Kincardine. More assists for Kincardine came via Brandon Priestap and Cody Britton, who contributed one a piece. In addition, Mitchell received assists from Adam Zehr, who had one. Mitch Campbell rejected 24 shots on goal for Kincardine. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Hawks' Tyler MacGregor stopped 44 shots out of the 46 that he faced. Mitchell incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jalen Aitcheson was ejected from the game.
