Stayner downs Erin, 3-1

Jesse Anderson finished with one point to lead the Stayner Siskins to a 3-1 victory over the Erin Shamrocks.

Stayner evened the best of seven series at 3-3 and forced a deciding game seven.

Erin was unable to stop the Siskins from sending pucks towards the net, and Stayner eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Siskins did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Others who scored for Stayner included Dakota Hynes and Derick Robertson, who each put in one. More assists for Stayner came via Jason Seeley, who had two and Sean Healy, Quinton Bruce, and Ryan Hudson, who contributed one a piece.

The Shamrocks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Stayner power plays.

Erin was led by Travis Knight, who scored the team's only goal. Knight scored 10:32 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Darcy Hackett provided the assist.

Taylor Trace rejected 23 shots on goal for Stayner. The Shamrocks' Tom Denstedt stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Erin incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
