Tyler Jones gave the Dundas Blues a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Chippawa Riverhawks when he scored 8:02 into the extra period. The win by Dundas broke a deadlock and gave the Blues a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. Chippawa could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. Dundas made it 4-2 on a goal by Kevin Jaczenko at 4:48 in the third period. The Riverhawks got to within 4-3 on a goal by Kyle Robertson at 7:57 in the third period. The Blues forced Chippawa goalie Colin Dunne to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. Dundas additionally got points from Jaczenko, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Garret Incze, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Elijah Williams, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Alex Aquin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Nick McMullen, Chad Carey, Cam McConnell, and Brayden Knott, who contributed one a piece. The Riverhawks stifled Dundas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Chippawa kept the Blues' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brock Novak made 48 saves on 52 shots. The Riverhawks were led by Mitch Sawatzky, who racked up one goal and two assists. Sawatzky scored 9:08 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Jonathan England assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Chippawa included Nick Manlow and Thomas Cole, who scored one goal each. In addition, Chippawa received assists from Matthew Baldinelli, Curtis Sauve, Dylan Lazarus, and Wade Kenny, who each chipped in one. Dundas incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Dunne recorded 37 saves for Chippawa. The Riverhawks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
