Behind a great game by Nicolas Vlahos, who had two goals, the Hawkesbury Hawks defeated the Nepean Raiders, 3-1. Vlahos found the back of the net 14:15 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 5:09 into the third to make the score 3-1 Hawkesbury.Hawkesbury forced Nepean goalie Brett Magnus to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. CJ Stubbs also scored for Hawkesbury. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Daniel Brickley and Carl Faucher, who contributed one a piece and Zach Car and Yanik Laliberte, who each chipped in two. The Raiders put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Hawks to score on any of their five power plays. Nepean was led by Christopher Smith, who scored the team's only goal. Smith scored on the power play 16:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nepean. A roughing penalty on Brickley had put the Raiders on the power play. Jacob Ramalho picked up the assist. Gunner Rivers made 22 saves for Hawkesbury on 23 shots.
