Nord lifts Missoula Maulers over Long Beach Bombers, 3-0

Behind a great game by Anders Nord, who had two goals, Missoula Maulers defeated Long Beach Bombers, 3-0.

Nord scored on the power play at 1:11 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Missoula Maulers and again while 9:26 into the second to make the score 3-0 Missoula Maulers.

Missoula Maulers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Long Beach Bombers to score on any of its four power plays. Missoula Maulers forced Long Beach Bombers goalie Jakub Krejci to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Missoula Maulers also got points from Joey Sundgren, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula Maulers were Corey Schafer, who had two and Max Rebholz and Henrik Ekestahl, who each chipped in one.

Long Beach Bombers did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Long Beach Bombers puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game.

Sebastian Gronborg made 21 saves for Missoula Maulers on 21 shots. Missoula Maulers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Long Beach Bombers' Krejci stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Long Beach Bombers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
