Ontario Avalanche rides Skeates to victory over Salt Lake City Moose, 4-1

Brett Norman had two goals to lead Ontario Avalanche to a 4-1 victory over Salt Lake City Moose.

Norman scored on the power play at 8:08 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ontario Avalanche and again while on the power play 13:38 into the first to make the score 3-0 Ontario Avalanche.

Ontario Avalanche's Chris Skeates was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 34 saves and let only one puck past him. Skeates managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.8 prior to the game.

Ontario Avalanche put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Salt Lake City Moose to score on any of its four power plays.

Ontario Avalanche also had goals scored by Lubomir Fetkovic and Joe Cangelosi, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ontario Avalanche received assists from Luke Rendino, who had two, Antoine Maillard, who had three, and Adam Plonski, Zechariah Roberts, and Calle Hallberg, who contributed one a piece.

Salt Lake City Moose could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Salt Lake City Moose averages 4.6 goals per game. Salt Lake City Moose's offense rang up 35 shots on Ontario Avalanche's net.

Salt Lake City Moose was led by Cody Rogala, who scored the team's only goal. Rogala scored 14:38 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Ontario Avalanche. Brett Meyer provided the assist.

Ontario Avalanche incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ryan Gasparovic recorded 17 saves for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
