Caron nets hat trick, leads xTexas to 11-0 win over Tulsa Jr. Oilers

Miguel Caron netted a hat trick to lead xTexas over Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 11-0.

Caron got on the scoresheet 4:02 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:15 into the first and at 19:08 into the second.

xTexas forced Tulsa Jr. Oilers' goalies to work without much rest, taking 74 shots and forcing 63 saves. Colter Pritchard made 44 stops and Adam Salisbury made 19. xTexas stifled Tulsa Jr. Oilers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. xTexas surpassed its usual scoring output this season. xTexas averages 4.2 goals per game.

xTexas additionally got points from Anatoly Uspenyev, who also registered one goal and one assist, Tobias Sjolund, who also racked up one goal and three assists, Viktor Brask, who also registered one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, and Sebastien Tremblay, who also finished with one goal and three assists. Others who scored for xTexas included Collin Young, who had two and Eric Lewis and Cody Letsinger, who each put in one. More assists for xTexas came via Austin Murray and Jeremy Quinneville, who contributed one a piece and Jimmy Anderson, Garrett Weitzel, and Landyn Howze, who each chipped in two.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to xTexas' power play unit.

Oliver Eklund rejected 22 shots on goal for xTexas. xTexas incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tulsa Jr. Oilers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
