The Bentley Generals tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the South East Prairie Thunder would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1. South East took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Bentley storm back on a Matt Stefanishion goal 16:20 into the third period to pull to two goals down. The Generals threw everything they had at the Prairie Thunder's Mark Friesen, but he responded by making 16 saves to secure the win. South East's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Bentley power plays. The Prairie Thunder were helped by Riley Dudar, who racked up one goal. Dudar scored 1:14 into the second period to make the score 2-0 South East. Terry Yake picked up the assist. South East additionally got points from Yake, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. South East also got a goal from Dustin Degagne as well. Other players who recorded assists for South East were Tyler Dittmer, who had two and Ryan St Laurent and Dustin Hughes, who contributed one each. Bentley excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Generals' offense rang up 37 shots on South East's net. In addition, Bentley received assists from Scott Kalinchuk and Garrett Watson, who each chipped in one. The Prairie Thunder incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. James Reid made 26 saves for Bentley on 29 shots. The Generals incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
