The Brantford Blast had trouble finding ways to stop the Clarenville Caribous, which beat Blast, 6-2.

Clarenville was led by Luke Gallant, who had one goal and one assist. Gallant scored on the power play 29 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Clarenville. Ryan Desrosiers provided the assist.

The Caribous' offense rang up 35 shots on Brantford's net.

Chris Hulit also scored for Clarenville. More assists for Clarenville came via Dale Sullivan, who had two and Peter Campbell and Cam Fergus, who each chipped in three.

Clarenville was unable to stop the Blast from sending pucks towards the net, and Brantford eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Blast were helped by Mike Ruberto, who grabbed one goal. Ruberto scored 8:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brantford. Jon Jankus picked up the assist. Brantford also got a goal from Kyle Spurr as well. In addition, Brantford received assists from Joel Prpic, who had one and Chad Spurr, who had two.

Jason Churchill made 29 saves for the Caribous on 31 shots. Clarenville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Anthony Marshall recorded 29 saves for Brantford. The Blast incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
